A number of foreign tourists will make South Halmahera, North Maluku province as a destination for marine tourism, because it has a number of promising sea panorama.
Head of Tourism District Halsel, Sunday Laujo when contacted from Ternate, on Thursday (01/20/2011) says, Halsel have a variety of places that could be used as a maritime tourism for foreign tourists.
"We believe, this year's tourists will visit Halsel to enjoy the panoramic beauty of the marine, as did the number of tourists from Germany a year ago," he said.
It plans to develop marine tourism this year, one of them to promote marine tourism objects that can be visited by tourists.
Various locations to be considered strategic marine tourism, including Lata Lata strait, straits Panamboang Village, Tanjung Gorango, strait Hell Cape and Islands District Bacan Sali East. In addition, there are a number of famous tourist sites in North Maluku that will become a tourist destination abroad.
According Laujo, all locations will be conducted survey by the German tourism consultant. From the survey results will then recommend a decent place to be a marine tourist sites with a beauty under the sea.
Laujo hope, the community support in promoting Halsel as a maritime tourism destination, to jointly maintain stability of the increasingly conducive security.
Halsel now possesses a number of marine tourism mainstay that has been known by the public, including panoramic coastal submarine Guraici Island, Nusa Raa tourist center and the object of white sand beach on the island of Widi, Gane Timur sub-district.
